New report says Trump Jr. met with Russian lawyer during 2016 campaign

The Latest: Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein are both scheduled to testify at the Judiciary Committee on Monday.

Grassley will hold a hearing on the 2016 presidential campaign, while Feinstein will appear before the committee to examine the 2016 campaign of Republican Donald Trump Jr., who was contacted by a Russian lawyer in 2016 seeking information about Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

The New York Times reports Grassley and Feinstein are scheduled to give a series of questions about the Trump Jr.’s meeting, which came after the president fired FBI Director James Comey and sought to dismiss Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
