Which school is better for your children’s future?

Here are five things you should know about school rankings.

1.

Most schools are ranked by the number of students they enroll.

But some schools have more than a million students.

Two-thirds of schools are rated “very high” or “excellent,” meaning they meet federal standards for math and reading.

Another third are rated average, meaning they don’t meet federal requirements for math or reading.

Most of the schools on the top 100 list are in the Midwest.

2.

Most school districts also have a few districts in each state that are ranked highly or average.

These schools have an average grade point average of 3.7 or higher, or they are ranked in the top 10.

But, like in the rankings, they don`t have to meet federal performance requirements.

3.

The highest-ranked schools are also the most expensive to educate.

This is not surprising.

A high school education costs an average of $27,766, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

In some cases, the schools are so expensive that parents are forced to take on debt to attend them.

4.

The schools on this list have some of the lowest student test scores.

This makes them less competitive for places on the list.

5.

Most rankings are based on national averages, not state averages.

This means that some schools are far below average and some are very high.

This ranking is based on a combination of the average scores of each state and the scores from each of the top schools in each of these states.
