New report shows that over 50 percent of schools with more than 10,000 students are failing, says a new report

NEW YORK — A new report released Thursday by the American Association of School Administrators, shows that more than 50 percent or more of schools in states with more students are in poor or failing status.

The report, which was produced by the Association of American Schools, also found that many schools were having difficulty filling positions.

The APA said that the report, titled “Over 50 Percent of Schools With More than 10 and More Than 100 Students Fail,” indicates that the average number of students enrolled in an institution in the U.S. increased from 1,400 in 2006 to 2,350 in 2016.

That represents a 57 percent increase.
